From 3/4" FF cut 44 spokes each 14" long. Soak briefly. Mark the center of the base at 10". With the smooth side down, insert a spoke at the center mark and one on the opposite side of the base. Evenly space 21 spokes on each side of the center spokes. If the groove in your base is too narrow to insert the spokes, run sandpaper around the groove several times, and/or sand down the ends of each spoke (you want a tight fit). Gluing in the spokes is optional.

Using 11/64" FO, weave 5 rows start and stop keeping the spokes flat. Gently upset the spokes and weave start and stop 18 rows with 3/8" FF.

Pack well before cutting and tucking the spokes. Insert the handle and rim with 5/8" FO, #6 R between rims, and lash with 3/8" FF.
