Weave 7 vertically x 5 spokes horizontally. Base weaving will measure approximately 7 1/2" x 11 1/2". Glue the ends of the base weaving to the inside of the hoop. Cut off any excess that extends above the hoop. Glue the 2 skids corner to corner to the back of the tray before gluing the 7/8" FF to the inner rim.

Insta or Maxi Cure Glue can be used instead of a hot glue gun.

Attaching the Wire Handles: Locate the handle placement....there will be 3 spokes between the handle (refer to photo). Insert the wire from the inside of the tray, bend it up over the outside rim and back down to the inside of the tray. Repeat on the other side. Wear safety glasses to cut off the excess wire. Gently bend the handles away from the tray to create side handles.

On the original tobacco baskets, skids (or inserts) were put on the back to prevent wear from dragging the basket.
