Chesterfield Farm Collection

These baskets were inspired by and patterned after one in my collection, made by the late Ben Higgins of Chesterfield, Massachusetts. Ben claimed he learned the craft of basketmaking at age 4 from his father. Ben lived all his life in Chesterfield, MA (1894-1981), where he earned his living making and selling baskets at his shop. Today his baskets are highly collectible.

These kits are for individuals who have a general concept of basketmaking techniques,and are familiar with basketry terminology.

Each kit contains pattern and all materials to make the basket. Tools/Glue Not Included.

Special Tools Needed For These Kits: Power Drill, 1/16" Drill Bit, 3/16" Drill Bit, Anvil or Hard Metal Surface, Hammer and Diagonal Cutters.
