Cut 34 spokes each 6" long from 1/2" FF. Soak briefly. With the smooth side down, insert 1 spoke in each corner, 8 on each straight side, and 15 on the rounded front of the base - a total of 34. Because the spokes will be bent up immediately, I glued in all my spokes. Dry fit each spoke, then remove one at a time and glue it in. If the groove in your base is too narrow to insert the spokes, run sandpaper around the groove several times, and/or sand down the ends of each spoke.

Dampen the spokes briefly before upsetting them and weave the following rows start and stop:

4 rows 3/8" FF
1 row 7mm FF (rim row)

Pack well before cutting and tucking the spokes. Rim with 1/2" FO (outside), 1/2" FF (inside), seagrass between rims, and lash with 7mm FF. Attach the ball feet with the screws.
