Materials
Falling Leaves Accent Package (includes 3 silk autumn leaves, 1/4" Rust, 1/4" Walnut & #2R Walnut dyed reed) 8" x 14" 'D' Handle 5/8" Flat Flat - spokes & rims	#2 Round - twining 7mm Flat Flat - filler spokes & weavers Seagrass - rim filler 3/16" Flat Oval - lashing

From 5/8" FF cut 7 spokes each 26" long and 2 spokes each 31" long. From 7mm FF cut 2 filler spokes each 17" long. Soak briefly along with a strand of #2R.

Put the handle down horizontally in front of you. Lay a 26" spoke vertically under the handle starting on the far left side of the handle. The next spoke is over the handle, etc. (Spokeweights come in handy).

Weave in a filler spoke just above the handle & snug it up close to the handle. Next weave in 1 of the 31" spokes (5/8") just above the filler spoke. Repeat this on the other side of the handle. Looking from top to bottom you will have a 5/8" spoke, filler spoke, handle, filler spoke and a 5/8" FF spoke. Fold the filler spokes to the inside of the base and tuck under the 3rd spoke of base. Trim off any excess. Twine 1 time around the base and handle with #2R.

Upset the spokes. Weave the following rows start and stop: 1 row of 1/4" FF Rust (woven inside the center spoke, 1 row of 1/4" FF Walnut, & 25 rows of 7mm FF. Pack well before weaving 1 row 1/4" FF Walnut, 1 row of 1/4" FF Rust & 2 rows of 7mm FF. Cut and tuck the spokes. The 5/8" FF rims will cover the 2 top rows of 7mm FF, seagrass between the rims and lash with 3/16" FO.

Spray your basket with Weaver's Stain (I used Oak) and let it dry completely before gluing on the Silk Autumn Leaves (I used a hot glue gun). The silk leaves can be ironed on a low (silk) setting to flatten them if you desire before attaching to your basket.

Optional - Connect the leaves with #2R dyed Walnut if desired.
