From 3/8"FF cut 5 spokes 21" long and 7 spokes 18" long. Mark centers. Layout the 5 spokes horizontally and weave in the 7 spokes vertically. Adjust the base to measure 5" x 2 3/4".
Twine two times around the base with #2R. End off the round reed. Upset the spokes and weave 22 rows start and stop with 3/16"FO. Remember --- your handle is 6" wide, so measure often. Pack well. Cut and tuck spokes. Insert handle and rim with 3/8"FO, seagrass between the rims and lash with 3/16"FO. Spray basket with Weaver's Stain. Attach the wreath. Note: The wreath size is approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and can be attached to any basket, tied onto a gift package or used as a tree ornament.  | |
