Materials
4" x 6" Rectangle Wood Base
#2 Round - twining
3/8" Flat Flat - spokes & 2 rows of weaving
1/4" Flat Flat - weavers dyed purple
7mm Flat Flat - Weavers
Insta or Maxi Cure Glue
1/2" Flat Flat - rims
#2 Seagrass
Lavender & Butterflies Beaded Fringe
1.0mm Waxed Cotton Cord - purple (approx. 10')
Tacky Glue - available at craft shops

Cut 24 spokes from 3/8" FF each 11" long. Soak briefly. Insert 6 spokes on each long side, 4 on each short end, and 1 in each corner of the base. I find it very helpful to glue in the spokes with insta or maxi cure glue.

Twine 2 times around the base with #2R. Upset the spokes and weave 1 row 3/8" FF, 2 rows 1/4" FF purple, and approximately 11 rows of 7mm FF, keeping the spokes up straight. The basket at this point is about 4 1/2" H. As you weave the next 12 rows of 7mm FF, encourage your spokes to flare slightly outward (this will make a total of 23 rows of 7mm FF). Weave 1 row of 3/8" FF (rim row).

Pack well. Cut and tuck your spokes in the usual manner. Use "Tacky Glue" to glue the ribbon part on the beaded fringe onto the rim row. Rim with 1/2" FF inside and outside, seagrass between rims, and double lash with 1.0mm purple waxed cotton cord.
