Materials
6" x 12" D handle #2 Round - twining #5 Round - rim filler 7mm Flat Flat - weavers 5/8" Flat Flat - spokes & filler spokes 1.0mm Lt. Base Size: 6"w x 9 1/2"l x 6 1/2"h

Cut 5 spokes each 5/8" FF each 28" long and 8 spokes each 25" long. Also cut 4 filler spokes from 5/8" FF each 15" long. Soak briefly. Mark the centers of the handle and a few of the spokes.

Lay the 5 spokes horizontally on top of the handle and alternate with the filler spokes (these will be under the handle.) Weave in vertically 4 spokes on each side of the handle. Adjust base to 6"w x 9 1/2"l. Fold the filler spokes to the inside of the base. Create "chicken feet" by cutting the filler spoke ends in half lengthwise.

Tuck these under the 2nd 5/8" spokes on each side of the filler spokes. Trim off any excess. Repeat on the other end. Twine one time around base with #2 Round.

Upset the spokes and weave the following rows of start and stop:

1 row 1/2" FF brown
1 row 1/4" FF rust/orange
1 row 1/4" FF gold
18 rows 7mm FF (the last row will be the rim row)

Pack well. Cut and tuck spokes in the usual manner. Use "Tacky Glue" to glue the ribbon part of the beaded fringe onto the rim row. Rim with 1/2" FO, round reed between the rims, and lash with Lt. Brown Waxed Cotton Cord.
