Cut 20 spokes from 1/2" FF each 6" long. Dampen spokes. Insert 3 spokes on each end of base, 5 spokes on each long side, and 1 spoke in each corner. Chase weave (or twine) with #1R twice around base. Upset spokes sharply and weave 9 rows 7mm FF of start and stop. Do not let your spokes flair out - keep them straight up. Pack well, cut and tuck spokes, and insert handle Rim with 3/8" FO, seagrass between rims and lash with 11/64" FO. |
